A year ago, the summer break before training camp was anything but pleasant for Eagles running back Correll Buckhalter.

Unless rehabbing a torn-up knee is your idea of good, summer fun.

"Let's just say it was very intense," said Buckhalter.

When 2002 started, things looked bright for Buckhalter. He was entering his second season after making a good impression as a rookie. That season he rushed for 586 yards on 129 carries for a 4.5 average. BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) -- Last year, Philadelphia Eagles running back Correll Buckhalter injured his knee on the first day of the team's first minicamp. His workouts for the summer at training camp consisted of running up and down a hill next to the team's locker room.

Now, he's practicing with the team, preparing to become an integral part of the Eagles' rushing attack for the upcoming season.

"I haven't thought about that hill," Buckhalter said. "That's where it all started for me, in my rehab. I haven't looked at the hill and I don't plan on looking at it anytime soon." ...
