Looks like a scout sold him to the Bills for his upside. Here's the report

TJ Graham - WR - NC State - 5-11 1/2 188 4.41

Started 22 games in career, including 12 in 2011. Reminds us of a speedier and quicker Jerricho Cotchery. Snatches the ball in his hands and has sudden upfield burst. Quick in and out of his routes. Slippery with an effective stiff arm. Top return specialist who is developing into a full time receiver. Dangerous in space. Has big play capability.Athletic after catch. Explosive speed, quickness and production. Can split defenders with his speed. Sudden in his play. Good arm length. Can run routes off motion.Would have been more productive if team wasn't breaking in new QB. Has ascending skill, just needs more pro development. Returned kickoffs for the most yards in ACC history, 3153 yards. 1943 all purpose yeards in 2011, 40 yards short of Torry Holts school record. Competed with the track team indoors and earned 2nd team All-American honors. 6.62 60 meters and 20.79 200 meters. Posted a 10.37 100 meters in outdoor championships. 2011 season - 46 catches 757 yards 7 TD's

This is why he is ideal for our team. Quick receiver that can slip by the defenders. The more I read, the more I like. I say they go offensive line again with our next pick.

Let's not be homers guys. Truth is this guy would have been available much lower. We probably could have gotten him with our 6th...

I don't know enough about him to know if he has the kind of potential that is being said, but I do know that he's a developmental prospect that will take atleast 2 yrs and quite frankly, I'm always leery about track stars turned football players. The majority do not pan out.

No way in hell they did this to draft a person who would have lasted to the 6th round.

Ourlads rates him a 3rd rounder... and you're telling us he could have been had in the 6th round ? OK

I don't pretend to know anything about the guy but i'll go with the scouting reports over anyones blind opinions here.

Sorry.

I fully understand why they grabbed him.

No it's not a bad pick, and we do lack speed at the WR position.

This guys return abilities and speed means he would not have been there in the 5th or 6th rounds, and more then likely wouldn't of lasted through out the 3rd.

lots of teams could use a speed WR that would be a solid return guy. He wouldn't' of lasted

Misinformation gets spread all the time. Even if someone else wanted him, I would have let them have him. I mean, they didn't trade up to get Glenn and stayed put and he was a MUCH better prospect, but they are willing to trade up for this guy who many have ranked as a 7th rounder?

I'm not upset about losing a 7th, but I think Russell Wilson would have been a better pick. Even if he wasn't Fitz's replacement, I'd have more confidence in being able to continue winning if Fitz went down with injury.

CBS Sports' positional ranking - 7th round or FA. He's on page #2...

Exactly. The consensus from the mock universe was that he was a 6th, but if Buddy really liked him and had something concrete that he would have been taken, then you have to trust our talent evaluators and see what the kid can do. That's the problem with our judgments, they're made based on the consensus of everyone except the front offices in the league. That's a huge omission. I'm fine with giving the kid a chance. This isn't Bruce Irvin reach after all.

Look we jumped in front of JAX, took their player, they in turn panic and take a punter... That is all...

OK, lets see many links to reports he would be a 7th rnd pick.

Many here are saying Roscoe 2.0 , when Graham seems to me a tougher Lee Evans. He will start immediately returning kicks, and will go across the middle from the slot. Physically he's almost identical to Evans.

This pick definitely has Gailey on it. At some point Buddy wanted to give Gailey the offensive head coach a new toy and this was it.

Gailey will have this kid on the field a lot. We run mutiple WR formations and they will move him all over the place.

Question: After watching some highlights, it appears that he has trouble holding onto the football when he takes direct hits. Could that be why Graham has such a low grade from guys like Mike Mayock? I don't know anything about him. Over all it seems like a good pick. JMO

But Mayock said a 7th round pick!!!

In all seriousness though, whether you think its a reach or not the Bills must have moved up for a reason. Since it was 2 spots they must have had information true or not that he may have been taken by Jacksonville.

When you target a guy you like you go get him. I trust an NFL scout more than the media or any johnny GM on this board.

I hope he works out.

jeez, how can buddy possibly make this pick. you would think he would have reviewed all the mock drafts to see this was a late round prospect type player. the least he could have done is come here and see what everybody thought about it before rushing to the podium
