Did anyone else catch this ESPN 30 for 30 special? Kind of sad really that he was brainwashed by the reverend/agent. Otherwise there's no telling what he could have been.

Yeah, I've watched it before, he got exploited, a lot of these kids do. These guys latch on like leaches. Sad story, but he's not angry about it, didn't seem like he was anyway, which is good.

I know he had issues with Switzer in Oklahoma, suffered a concussion and then transferred to another school. NCAA regulations stipulated he had to sit out a year because of the transfer. He, his agent, whomever, decided that wasn't in his interests so he jumped to the USFL and blew out his knee.

It was a nice comeback story when he briefly played for the Rams in 90-91 but he didn't do much of anything.

Watched it when it first aired on ESPN. College football is worse than the NFL. Crazy the man he trusted and was supposed to be a man of faith did him dirty.

most of the 30 for 30s are great.. but that one was especially good. Run Ricky Run was a great one too.

The best one, by far, was the story about Petrovic & Vlade Divac, think it's called Once Brothers. It's fantastic.

Pony Excess was good, as was the one about Reggie Miller and the Knicks.

I remember back in the day watching him. I always hated Oklahoma too, but that guy was great. Then he just disappeared and then I remembered seeing him play in the usfl. Sad story.
