This guy is on the trade block again.

Good teams look to get better regardless of position.

Williams Williams Dareus Umenyiora

Tom Brady would crap his pants every time he took the field.

I can't imagine what they would ask for, but given the vanilla flavor of our LBs, I'd gladly take one more beast on our D Line.

What kind of compensation could they want for him?
Sure, he's a star, but he'll be 31 this season & has suffered some injuries. So...
What do you think, a third?

Going by our 3rd round draft picks the last 10 years, he's more than worth that to us. Pipedream though

Hopefully Carder and Bradham will add a bunch of flavor to that unit.

Is he?

It seems every year this guy is "on the block." Every year he remains a Giant.

He hasn't signed the extension they offered him for the last 2 years because it's less money than what the top defensive linemen already get on the Giants. He wants to match the top paid players on the line like Kiwanuka. Unless they offer him bigger money he'll probably play out this last year and then hit the free agent market unless the Giants say screw it and trade him before he leaves town with no compensation.

Can we afford ~$10 Million a year for him right now ??

I don't know but I'd say no. I think someone is going to overpay for him and he seems like the type to drop off the radar once he gets the cash.

If everyone stays healthy, DL would be the strength of this team.

Why should we eat the cap hit and give up compensation? If he were a WR, OT or LB, I'd at least be considering it, but we can't afford to pour all our resources into the DL when we have so many other holes.

And if we did bring him here, how long before he starts *****ing that he should have a $90 million contract like Williams?

He'll stay with the Giants, and win another Superbowl in 4 years.
