AOL/THE SPORTING NEWS grade the Bills draft a C!

I call TOTAL BS on that overall grade.
Especially when on their links to each individual player's bio/stats etc. they rate each player pretty highly. The only one they really tear up is Tank Carder. And THAT seems to be have been written by someone who'd never seen him play!
All the others though are given positive notices. Some of them damned near stellar, so I fail to see how that all adds up to a "C".
It's got to be complete & utter bias against The Bills.

People who write articles on draft grades are losers. Why even read them? Grade the draft by the product we watch on the field over the next 4 years, not some writer talking about people he's never seen play.

Yeah, these instant draft grades may or may not be interesting to a fan, but all they really do is look at media opinions of player rankings before the draft compared to where the players were actually taken, and factor in media perceptions of team needs. Sometimes media opinions on these things are correct, sometimes not. Case in point is TJ Graham. Before the draft, media pundits rated him a good bit lower than where the Bills drafted him. Therefore, at least according to some post draft opinions I've read, he was a huge reach. Was he? Maybe, but there's really no way to tell for certain until he's been in the league a few years, unless he gets cut right away. Buffalo thinks he's a good player. They also thought other teams might have rated him worthy of an early third round pick, hence the trade up. Maybe the Bills are right and Walter Cherepinsky is dead wrong. We just don't know, and we won't for a while.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

          who cares what they think.
for the first time in years I feel comfortable with the decisions 1BD made this weekend.
I may not understand them all but for the first time in at least 10 years I feel like I trust their decisions.

In my opinion, draft grades this early should never go beyond a superficial level. It's still very early in the process. We know where these prospects got drafted, but no draft scout on the planet is skilled enough to know whether the fit was right until the end of training camp at the earliest. I wouldn't take much stock in it even if they gave the Bills an A grade. They can be fun to read, but other than that, they are pretty much useless.

Some grade on value rankings and many of those don't even know the true needs of the team.

Lombardi of NFLN liked our draft because he liked the players we got and thought our 4th,5th rd. LB's had a decent shot at immediate playing time... in addition to our top 2 picks starting.

He's not basing it on rankings or value. Just guys he likes and whether they can play.

Unlike previous years we actually drafted players who can and will contribute immediately.
Unlike the Sunbelt Conf. reaches, the where smarter then you picks, picks from schools where starter would lucky to be in the top two of an SEC depth chart, and the overrated stiff Big-10 players.
We haven't done any of that for the last two drafts and those were the best two drafts in the last dozen years.
