An Achilles technically isn't a career ender, but look at guys like Sam Cowart and Takeo Spikes (both LB's like Suggs, too). Both managed to stay in the NFL, but never got back to the same level after the injury.

And it won't help that Suggs will be on the wrong side of 30 when he hits the field again.
