it's a 2 year extension.. Freddie had 1 year left on his existing deal, so I assuming that means he is under contract for 3 more years.

I really hope there are some good incentives for Fred.. he deserves it. I hope he tears it up this year for a full 16 + 3..

Freddy is solid. Don't know how he does it, he does not look fast or big but runs through and by people.

I'm gonna assume we don't win the division, so let's say 16 + 4. I don't want to lose another Superbowl.

Fred Jackson is easily the most underrated player in the NFL. He can do it all and is our best running back since Thurman. I expect him to be in the Pro Bowl next year.

FredEx is the heart and soul of that offense and he deserves every penny of it. Go Freddie! BTW, he is my favorite new school Buffalo Bill. Yup!

That only happens with injury, Freddy seems like he always produces regardless.

This is the kind of move that helps to rebuild some confidence in the organization. For so many years, this team let good team leaders walk and extended non-impact types. Fred worked his butt off to be where he is and the team's commitment to him will not go unnoticed by future FAs.

Good to make it incentive-laden without tying up too much.

Here's to staying healthy.

It's nice to know that we have a GM who does what he said he'd do. Freddie held Nix to his word and NIx followed through.

Yep. They have a lot of $ tied up with Spiller - probably an internal embarrassment in house, what with Freds' performance.

I don't think it can be said enough... Phenomenal move. If he stays healthy, he has the hardest work ethic out of any player in the NFL who has proven to succeed.

WELCOME BACK FREDDIE! We got the 2 headed monster at RB and Fitzy has weapons and protection... Oh... oh ho ho ho... Oh man I'm excited.

I'm delighted this has been done, on so many different levels.
We keep a terrific player.
The FO (Nix in particular) keeps it's word.
Fred gets to concentrate on his game, rather than worrying about $.
Belichek will be pissed off, as he has now no chance of signing Fred, and he knows he's going to have to put up with him running all over the Patsies for another 3 years.

In terms of what he brings to a team, Fred is probably the most complete RB in the NFL. Rated the best blocker, close to the best catching the football, and pretty darn good when it comes to getting his rushing yards.

CJ Spiller has to set his sights high, to get past FJ - and that can only work in our favour in the long run.

if Buffalo is fortunate enough to win a championship with Freddie leading the charge, there is a great underdog story to be told.

So many leagues, teams, and depth charts he had to climb through to get here...

Here's to Freddie hitting all of incentives !

A great back. Leading rusher in the league last year until he got injured, I believe.

Give the rock to Freddie 20-25 times, and Spiller 15 times a game

Keep Fitzy to 20-25 attempts and have the defense hold teams to under 20 points per game average

That should be good for 10-11 wins
