For Buffalo Area Ladies - NFL 101

This is a good event for a good cause:

NFL 101: Football Clinic for Women
    Presented by Zweigles

Join Steve Tasker, current players and Bills Alumni

    Date: Tuesday, September 24, 2002

    Time: 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Location: Buffalo Bills Fieldhouse, One Bills Drive, Orchard Park, NY

Fee: $40 (proceeds to benefit the American Cancer Society)

NFL 101 is specifically designed to teach women the X's and O's of football and find out what happens behind the scenes in the NFL.

Wear your comfortable clothes and be prepared to participate! Along with the classroom session, there will be interactive football drills led by current and former Bills as well as a tour of the training facility. Dinner will be provided.

Registration is limited. The deadline is September 19, 2002.

I worked it last year. It's good for women that want to learn about the game. It's all women, the only men allowed are the coaches, players, and Blue Coat voulunteers. I know some women at first might feel uncomfortable but the fact that 75% of the people there are women helps. I know some people that have been attending for several years just because it's so much fun.

(plus not exactly listed, you get to see the lockerrooms)

Jaded, all the NFL teams do the same thing...NFL101 a league-wide program. You could probably go to the one done by the Ravens or the Redskins, although I heard both teams were moving to the Boise, Idaho area next year :)

I wouldn't go and sit through anything that has anything to do with the Redskins or their players, Big D. lol But, I'd be happy to help them pack to get the hell outta here.

"participation" does this mean I'd get to knock someone down?

I may have to keep this in mind for next season. :finfan:

Tackling was one of the stations last year, not sure if it was "live" or not. I worked at the running back station with Bryce Fisher. He would show how to take the ball from the QB depending on which side you were running up from.
