1 year, 750k
really like this deal. cheap and serviceable for a solid depth guy!

besides being a very solid backliner who appeared to flourish offensively for the first time in his career, he brings an edge that only the soulless evil of red hair can bring

I think there is a reason he signed for 1 year 750k. Not because he is playing time away from being a breakout performer.

true but that works both ways
say the sabres use their glut of quality defensemen as expected and work a trade so that sulzer becomes top six, he plays a regular shift and establishes himself. now hes got leverage to apply here or elsewhere
he was really good down the stretch and despite it being likely he wont maintain exactly that level he could drop off a little and still be plenty good enough to become a cemented top six guy over a season. now hes just gotta do it

Sulzer was the complete opposite of the mess that Sekera and Gragnani have become.
