5 Players the Bills Should Bring in

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1197271-buffalo-bills-plaxico-burress-and-5-players-the-bills-should-bring-in

I like the idea of Brown, exactly what I think the team needs and one of the positions that really hasn't been filled yet IMO.

like it or not buddy clearly prefers to cover backup center with one of the guards. hes done it enough that its obvious he believes freeing up a dedicated backup spot is more beneficial overall to the offense. this will be especially true if they decide to keep mr kickofs thru the uprights as a ko specialist

i would also prefer a real backup c but really truth is once they worked out some bad kinks they did eventually stablize the c position with urbik. they need to make that transition much faster in a playoff season and they should be better equipped to do that if/when it happens again

im sure the bills will eventually bring in a few guys like this once the green fruit starts to rot in camp. theyve done it every year. of this particular list id like to see them go with shiaxnzc@oe as the te/catching fb to perhaps give the cheaters a taste of their own medicine. but chuddy also love their blocking fb/tes too and theres that extra roster spot thing again that probably dooms that idea

I wouldn't have a problem with any of the five.

Shiancoe or Sims would be nice.

I don't see any benifit to signing old washed up players. That is what the Bills used to do. I would rather see the Bills develop the young guys this year than waste their time on a has been. It is not like any of those 5 would propel the Bills to the Super Bowl.

Sims makes the most sense on that list, but only if they think he's a fit for the next 3-5 years, not one. Give him a real shot to play and win the job. Competition is good.

Brown and Sims are the only two I agree with, I am completely and utterly against bringing in any player well into there 30's. It back fires far more than it hits

There are several benefits to signing somebody like Brown.

-A true, proven back-up at center (that could also swing to guard) in the event Wood gets hurt again.
-The absence of having to shuffle the o-line, moving a starting guard to center and bringing in a back-up guard to start, which essentially puts back-ups at two of five positions instead of just one.
-Somebody like Asper could be stashed on the PS to develop and possibly replace Brown next season.

Burress, Sims and Henderson I would agree with you on...I would rather the young guys have the roster spot and see what they bring to the table, but I'd prefer to have an aging vet backing up center as opposed to shuffling the line or sticking a newbie in there.

We need our James Lofton back, so let's bring in an old pro WR.

I understand not wanting to stunt the growth of our LB's or O-Line (because of their potential), but we have crap at TE and WR--and could use all the help we can get there.

Well, Chandler had the best year for a TE that the Bills have had in years. And they have a few players that have not done anything yet but they do have potential, kind of like Stevie before his breakout year.

Like I said, none of those 5 would propel the Bills to the Super Bowl & they would just ****** the growth of the young guys IMO.
