Good stuff. I knew he was killed in battle but I didnt know he was the only NFL player to do so.

Our armed service branches are the only Patriots I respect.

Pat didn't pass during the Vietnam war, nor was he a Buffalo Bils player. Pat was a beautiful person & deserves all the respect, God Bless him & his family.

He left the NFL to serve his country. Very admirable.

Maybe this topic should be pinned somewhere listing all NFL players who served and gave all. The thread should be brought back to the main board during Memorial Day, Veteran's Day, July 4th etc. Of course Bills players should be highlighted just to distinguish themselves somewhat--not that their sacrifice means more than any others.
