How the Bills can win 10 games in 2012

My blog post on it. The more I kept looking at it and breaking it down, the more realistic I thought it was/is....

This is acctually reallistic! It's a given there will be a few surprise losses and wins. But this year, every game is acctually not a reach. As long as we avoid the injury bug, and continue to upgrade the depth, we should win at least 9 to 12 games. And good write up, always love them

Makes sense as long as we don't lose key contributers, especially on offense.

While ten games may be attainable there is always the chance that ten is not enough. Especially in the AFC.
True fans want wins, not draft picks.

          Gotta just win the division.

Of course. As stated in the blog, it happens. But it is almost always enough. It just may take also winning the tie-breaker with another team.

And last year in the AFC, and 8-8 team won it's division and made it and a wild card team was 9-7. The SB champ was 9-7, too.

In 2009, both wild card teams in the AFC were 9-7.

The Pats didn't even make it with 11 wins in 2008.

Playoffs or not, 10 wins is still 10 wins and would be the best season this franchise has had this century.

Not possible with the roster they have.

I'm still not sold on M. Williams. HOU let him walk without a peep; BUF pounced in - IIRC, nobody else was slavering after him. That last big contract?

                    not true

houston didnt have the cap space

and the bills gave him enough so that he didnt leave here and go where other teams surely would have signed him

im as surprised as anybody we really did it, but cmon your pessimism on him is baseless

Don't know about HOU's cap - but it looks as if they didn't think him worth it overall, to their team. He got all-pro, pro bowl awards during 2007 to 2009. Injury history - he's now a 7 year vet. His total tackle numbers are pedestrian.

He's certainly gonna be a big cap bite for BUF. Williams' new contract is worth up to $100 million, with $50 million guaranteed, which makes it the most lucrative contract for a defensive player in NFL history.

I guess we will have to see.

Houston also had a running back they didn't want to lose, if memory serves me correctly they signed the back and let Williams go for the money. Williams IMO will be an asset to this team, both in the locker room and on the field.

Didn't Williams specifically say he was not coming to Buffalo to be a leader? That is my one big issue with making him the highest paid defensive player in the NFL. For that type of coin, you should get the total package.
