Marcell Dareus ready to be a star for Buffalo Bills

Didn't see this posted. Fun to watch the video of Marcell mike'd up again.


After a slow start, Dareus proved that he's going to be a keeper. ProFootballFocus ranked Dareus the No. 12 defensive tackle in the entire league last year. His best four games came in Weeks 6, 8, 14 and 16. He excelled as a pass rusher, ranking fifth according to ProFootballFocus' pass-rush metrics. Watching Dareus on tape, his combination of size, power and agility is remarkable. There's a reason NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock ranked him as the best player in last year's draft.

I think you might be wrong about Op on this one. This is a speculative story and it hasn't happened yet, but Dareus definitely shows all the right signs. I'm pretty pumped about this D-line!

I just think there is too high of a level of freakish athleticism across the line for all of these guys not to be productive or contribute directly to each other and the team.

Between MArio , Kyle and Dareus, who are teams going to double? Guys like Merriman, Anderson and Kelsay are going to benefit. Even blitzing lb'ers and db's will. I just hope Wanny doesn't become the usual conservative playcalle he was in the past.

In case anybody missed him on Sports Science: Faster than Woodley to the QB, launched Mr. Brenkus higher and farther than Suh & hardest hit ever measured on the show. I can't wait to see him on the field in a 4-3 this year.

I saw that sport science too. After we drafted him. I had a raging boner for a week after the stats were stated.

The DL sure looks formidable. I can't think that they plan on executing a relentless pass rush. That is pretty taxing, and the starters will get fatigued early on. After the starters, I don't see much. And recent acquisition Anderson remains an unknown.

So I think that the DC will be a bit conservative with the DL until he sees how things shake out. How he uses the LBs remains to be seen, but I suspect that the other 31 clubs say "eh", and will plan how to exploit them.

OK, How exactly do you expect 31 other teams to exploit the Bills DL? Especially since the Bills only play 13 teams next season.

joking aside, i cant wait to see what he does when hes in there. his de game has been improving every season for the last four, if it wasnt for that utter fail at lb i think hed be looked at differently now. hes the second best all around end short of a really healthy but wont happen merriman. i think he has easily his best season and changes a bunch of minds around here
