The Buffalo Bills haven’t been to the playoffs since 1999, but in Buffalo no one seems to care about that because at least one player thinks they are might be on the brink of something special. Running back C.J. Spiller certainly think his team can be back to the days of the early 1990′s when the Bills were regularly competing (and losing) in the Super Bowl.

“We split with New England. We had the Giants on the ropes. We are close to being a Super Bowl team,” Spiller said to NFL Sirius XM Radio. “We have to protect the ball.”

Buffalo was only +1 in turnover margin last season and with free-agent signing Mario Williams, their defensive line will look to improve on the 29 times they sacked the quarterback, which ranked next to last in the AFC.

Oh my god. CJ Spiller is such an optimist. Cut him now.

I don't think he's even close to being the only one on our roster that feels that way. They have a ton to prove, but we weren't too far out of a lot of those losses last year.

I agree. I'm encouraged, it's great heading into the season with the whole team believing that something good can get done.
