The Bills are looking for a Safety still

    From BB.com.

    On Leonhard:

The S free agents list (signed players are in red):

How about Bob Sanders? I'd take Jim Leonhard back but we probably end up bringing back Corto.

I'd take Bullitt as a solid back-up as well.

No on the slow Leonhard. In the box type with everything having to be in front of him. Already have a far better option doing that in Scott. Find one with some speed beyond 10 yards.

I like the fact that they aren't content and are still looking to make moves.

          It's a catch-22.

On one hand, it's an acknowledgement that the team still has a hole very late in the off-season, and that's never good.

On the other hand it's an improvement over "Well, we think that (insert name of guy who sucked last year) made great strides in the off-season and will show improvement this year" or "Well, (insert name of guy who was a back-up for some other crappy team last year that will be our starter this year) is a great addition and it will show on the field," which is all we would have gotten in the past.

It's a huge improvement over past years. They are worried about filling a depth position versus a starter.

Well your depth is basically Nesbitt and Searcy. That's a problem.

Good. Back-up safety and a true center behind Wood (that can swing to guard) are the only two spots left on my list.

QB-Fitzpatrick/DP OR FA/B.Smith (3) Fitz is here for '12, Thigpen sucks, Smith is OK for emergency which we might never need because Ryan seems to be able to stay healthy. Need another young guy for the practice squad, though, also. RB-Jackson/Spiller/Choice (3) Jackson should be re-signed. Choice has earned a shot on the

I think Branch signed a new deal with the Raiders recently.

Peprah got cut by GB but he was a 14 game starter last year, doubt he's going to come here to take a backup role.
