Update 2: #Packers Safety Charlie Peprah has also failed his physical, which is why the team released him.

I don't know if the timing will be right for Nix to sign him.

      Re: Safety

Which begs the question, why did he fail his physical? If it is an injury that needs more time to heal, maybe the Packers are deep enough at safety to let him go.

Is Bryon Scott not a safety anymore? Why is he listed as one when he plays LB?

He can back-up SS, no question, but right now he is listed on the roster as an OLB. He plays that spot in the nickel package.

              Re: Safety

Nix says the Bills would prefer that Scott specialize as a sub package linebacker when the Bills are in pass defense mode. Those aren't his words exactly, but that's the essence of what he meant. They want a pure safeties to back up their starters. I think the Bills see DaNorris as more of a strong safety backup, and they'd like to pick up more of a free safety type to back up Byrd.

Peprah started 14 games last year, not sure he wants to come here and be a backup.

It beats sitting on your couch on Sunday and not getting paid.

I think he will overcome it.

                      Re: Safety

depth at this position is VERY weak. if Peprah isn't what the Bills brass is looking for, they need to find somebody down the road.
