All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

"They're probably about the same speed, they have great balance, they can stay over (the) top, but Gilmore is taller," Johnson said, then smiled. "I don't want to say too much ..."
Not here to be right, just here to have interesting discussions about my impulsive opinions
I hope he turns out to be better than Revis too, but it's asinine to say that before the guy even has 1 real NFL snap.
I would say that opinions tend to change based on regular-season gameplay. The comment of being asinine is basically discounting a current account of a player's opinion based on his experience on the field with their counter-part.
I'm discounting it because it's camp. If Stevie or some other WR that has faced Revis in games 4x+ said that after playing Gilmore in a real game situation, I'd probably buy it. But not after a few days of camp and only one practice in pads.

Obviously, real-game results trump opinions but hearing a defensive opponent admit to someone being a better player than another at one position is going to take time. I'd take it all at face value & witness it for myself on the field before forming a logical opinion, it's still good to hear though.
Agreed. Except I haven't heard Stevie say that Gilmore was better. The quote in the op certainly doesn't say that unless taller means better.
Height is an advantage at CB. Same skill set but taller then trailing off before he says "too much..."? There aren't a whole lot of other ways to interpret that.
I think Stevie giving praise to his team mate is normal... expected. Stevie drawing comparisons to Revis is nothing more that backing his team mate. We can put zero stock into a comment like that at this point.
I can really only take it with a grain of salt.
We will know what we have in Gilmore when the real bullets fly.

SJ never actually says Gilmore is better. Read the quote.
