    If the NFL returns to L.A. in a new stadium, it might be the end for the Rose Bowl and Coliseum.
    PASADENA -- Talk long enough with the folks here, and you'd think football was invented in the Rose Bowl.
    They note the stadium's 1922 birth as a home for college football. They mention the ghosts of football's past, from Pop Warner to the Four Horsemen, who once walked the sidelines. They point out that five Super Bowls have been played there.

    "When you're on that field, you run faster, you hit harder, you catch balls you're not supposed to," gushes Porfirio Frausto, a Rose Bowl Operating Co. director.
