Hey guys, just here to catch up!

Obviously, you can't judge draft picks from their first preseason game, but I'm interested to hear how they did. I'm especially interested in Cordy Glenn and Ron Brooks... especially Brooks as opposed to Gilmore.

So how did they do? Where did they line up? Do you guys have Glenn at LT or RT or OG? I myself was hoping the Browns would take him as their RT.

What are your thoughts? Thanks!

I thought Brooks looked really solid, he was very close to the ball on a few plays, his positioning was terrific. He eventually jumped a route and got the INT.

I didn't see a ton of Gilmore except on the TD where he was being manhandled by a guard.

Glenn played LT as expected, solid but very unpolished.

Lindell will most likely lose his job to Potter especially after missing a fg.

A chipshot FG.

Plus Potter had 3 touchbacks which is a huge value.

I thought Brooks looked great. Covered well and tracks the ball well. Had an INT and a couple pass break ups. He could end up being a steal as a 4th rounder.

Gilmore-C+
Solid but not spectacular, was playing way off in zone coverage, and got dominated by the pulling OG on a screen pass he needed to attack.

Glenn-C-
Not a good showing was beaten off the line consistently, and when he wasn't he got walked back into the pocket

Graham-B+
Led team in receiving, showed some speed.

Bradham-C
Didn't notice him a ton so the C is more like average or incomplete

Brooks-A+
Player of the game for me, 2 big pass breakups and an INT.

Sanders-C+
Didn't look as overmatched as I expected at RT with how bad his camp reports have been. Got beat once or twice but anchored down well.

Carder-D+
Poor technique on nearly every tackle, he knows better

Asper-D
Snaps weren't great and didn't impress me with his inability to hold the POA inside.

Potter-A+
Boomed three kickoffs and even when he mi**** his last one it still got into and through the endzone (sideline on the last one, back on the first two)

I also think Graham led the team in Targets.

Should of had a TD if Thigpen had seen him.

Plus Potter had 3 touchbacks which is a huge value. The one went so far out of the camera's view that you had to take the ref's word on it being a touchback, it's like they were looking into orbit to figure out where it was.

I say a B effort myself.. He gave a step on occasion on the speed rush but he also pushed those player off and they never really pressured Fitz. He also had no trouble with the bull rush that i could see.

I agree.. But he never was comletley beat, and he kept anyone form geting a hit on Fitz

Then we watched two different games because Glenn was not anything like what you described imo. Beaten and pushed around the whole time he was in there.

Thanks for the opinions guys... I'll be watching some Bills games in Short Cuts once the season starts.

Extremely doubtful. How many field goals did Potter get a shot at? How about during all of training camp? He's a kickoff specialist. No one talks about whether he can kick field goals though. I find that to be interesting. Gailey doubts but doesn't dismiss outright the possibility of keeping 2 kickers. Potter is really going to have to show he can get it through the uprights consistently to beat out Lindell if the Bills decide to keep 1 kicker, or it's not happening. That's just a fact.
