Could Scott McKillop be the sleeper of Bills camp 2012 ? McKillop has been out of football for 2 years because of a serious knee injury, but is supposedly back fully recovered and having a good camp. A 5th round pick by the 49er's, he led the team in special team tackles in his rookie year and could possibly turn out as a special teams Ace. Right now he is ahead of fan darling Tank Carder on the depth chart for the inside LB spot and has been taking snaps with the 1st unit. I don't think he'll be taking Kelvin Sheppard's spot (at least not right away), but I think his special teams play (plays all 4 units) will land him a spot on the final 53. He has decent size 6'2", 243 lbs. the same as starter Sheppard. Chan Gailey and ST's coach Bruce DeHaven seem really high on him and in his 1st action as a Bill, last weeks preseason opener, he led the team in tackles (might not mean much). We can use all the help we can get at LB and hopefully McKillop will be a nice surprise.

Re: Scott McKillop
He certainly seems to be on the path. I don't see both McKillop and Carder making the squad, unless Carder starts getting more time on the outside and eventually bumps Morrison from the roster.YardRat Wall of Fame

Re: Scott McKillop
I remember his Pitt days. I'm sure Wanny remembers. I like his instincts, probably better than the White kid the Bills drafted last year. And of course he knows the defense inside out. The only bad thing is he does not have the kind of speed we want, particularly after the injury.

I swear to god this 12 year drought has warped people's minds to the point where they don't recognize NFL talent anymore. Can't say I blame them too much though, since there hasn't been an NFL team in Buffalo since 1999.
