Bills vs Jets Predictions Thread

As NYJ are imploding at the right time, just before the playing the Bills, the Bills could not find themselves in a better position. Remember KC last year? I expect a similar result with less points.

Jets Offense vs Bills Defense
They could not score a TD all pre-season. They are in complete disharmony. Both QBs are subpar. Their o-Line will have major problems vs Bills D-Line and they lack a play maker outside of Holmes. Their run game will struggle in a major way. Expect many many 3 and outs, a few turnovers and less than 13 points scored. This will give the Bills a great opportunity to win.


Bills Offense vs Jets Defense
The Bills offense will struggle vs this Defense. Fortunately the Jets weakness on defense -lack of pressure- plays right into the Bills strengths. As a result Fitz will have more time to throw, find wr, and stretch the field and convert a few 3rd downs. Further, running lanes will open up & Bills may hit a big play or two. Combine this with Jet turnovers, lack of scoring, and field position issues, the Bills O should score enough to win. Bills could score up to 27 points.

I watched them in their 1st PS game (CIN).

Not a lot to say - 1st game - but 1st rounder Couples got into the backfield several times. RB Joe McKnight showed good hands and a nice outside burst. Tebow threw ducks, but stepped out smartly when faced with a heavy rush. Sanchez was poor - 2 sacks in a short time. I read they lost TE Keller and his backup against CAR.

Gotta say that this game really sets the tone for the season. It's obvious, it's overdone, but man, if the Bills can't beat a team that is literally beating themselves up, then there's no hope. If Sanchez wants to throw to no-one and succeed, that's a bad sign. If Tebow wants to run his Wildcat and run around the field with our front 4 unable to drop him for a loss of 8, that's a terrible sign.

If George and Jairus don't thrive on dropped passes and terrible throws, then it's a bad sign.

So, with that being said, I will go with an honest 20 - 17. It'll be a late drive by the Jets so I have a minor heart attack, but we'll squeak by.
