Cuts are coming in. Post the players you'd think about for the Bills here. Yes, we all realize they got cut from their previous team which is a potential watch out; so save us that obligatory response. I'll start:

Lions- CB, Alphonso Smith- Liked him a lot at Wake Forest.

Pats:

Dan Koppen- I'd take him as a backup
Deion Branch- as a backup? For the right money, why not.

Marvin McNutt, WR. Cut by the Eagles. Rookie, great size and brutal in college when breaking tackles. Easley gone, bring in another physical specimen with potential at WR.

Evan Moore TE Cleveland
OJ Atogwe S Philly

Two guys I think that would be worth a look see.

FYI... neither are subject to waivers. Only non veterans (less than 4 years service time) are subject to waivers. Koppen and Branch are unrestricted FA.

Evan Moore TE Cleveland

This would be my vote. Had some production as a receiver last year. Not a great blocker, but fits as a pass-receiving TE. He was caught up in number in Cleveland and cost too much for a backup.

Atogwe was solid but you always have to wonder why a solid vet gets cut...I really like Searcy but would like him better starting in another year or two if there is an injury to Wilson or Byrd is to occur.

The Bills are thin at LB and if the Brooks injury rumor is true, they are paper thin in the defensive backfield. If I am Nix tonight I'm looking for backup LBs and DBs that were cut that can be counted on to play if there is an injury.

I really like Evan Moore. He's a good pass catching TE who has big play ability and works well down the seam.

His downside is, he doesn't block worth a crap. Seriously a stiff breeze can block better than him.

Pass catching wise he'd be an upgrade over Chandler though.

And you're right it's a numbers game with Browns TEs when they already have Ben Watson, have a youngster in Jordan Cameron and have another seasoned vet in Alex Smith.

Tank Carder was just picked up by Cleveland. Bills I think were planning on adding him to their practice squad. Not anymore.

Mark Asper was claimed by the Vikings as well. That is 2 Bills draft picks claimed elsewhere.

I expect that we add a new WR (not a guy who's been here before). Listening to Chan I think it's likely.

Per Schefter the Pats also cut LB Bobby Carpenter... Takers? Has experience, maybe a backup role?

No!!!

A good athlete but doesn't like contact. Not a good trait in a contact sport.
