Why have we not picked up any waiver wire players yet?

I don't have anyone in mind, but I'm sure we can get some treasure out of someone else's trash, like a lot of other teams are already doing.

Are we taking Labor Day weekend off or something?

Or signed some of our own released guys to the PS?

For a team with only 4 WRs on the roster, we sure are taking our sweet time in building a little depth at the position.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

I don't think there will be many moves this weekend, if any. Brooks will go on IR when he can and still be eligible as the exception/return from IR, they'll probably bring Hagan back into the fold (Easley and Aiken are most likely on the PS to give them another option if Hagan signs elsewhere between now and then) and the only other move I would anticipate is if a FS option better than Howell becomes available so they can pick him up and move Howell to the PS.

I think one of our next moves also depends on McGee's status. With Brooks out for several weeks at least, we may need a CB if McGee continues to be hobbled by injury.

Could be a couple of reasons why the Bills haven't picked up anyone yet. For one, they just got through putting the practice squad together today, and they are probably waiting for these guys to clear wavers so they can bring them in as free agents. This would allow the Bills to have more time, have a better look at them before deciding whether the players fit here. These are guesses though.

I think we need a corner and a wide receiver from somewhere.

Our depth at WR is non-existent with only carrying 5 including Brad Smith and we have issues with depth at corner with an injury prone guy in that mix on top of it.

We've got Aiken and Easley on the practice squad, and I would expect Hagan to be back on the regular roster by Tuesday/Wednesday. Green is PS also...if McGee and Brooks both can't go, a recently cut vet might be a good call.

I think we want to work out a few players on Monday. Chan mentioned he likes some players from other teams but needs to get them up here first.

This just in from Andrew Brandt via Twitter, and what could be causing a delay in the Bills bringing players in: Quote, "will be tough for vested veterans to sign this week: if on roster Saturday, salary guaranteed for season. Teams will wait.". I personally did not know that until now. Interesting, in my opinion.

Edit: Reportedly there are 2 new faces in the Bills locker room. DB TJ Heath and TE LaMark Brown were apparently added to the practice squad. It hasn't been confirmed yet though. This comes from Joe Buscaglia and Tim Graham via Twitter.

Evan Moore and Demarcus Van Dyke should be brought in for a look

                        Van Dyke looks interesting.
