He took a cut of $1M to stay with the Bills, per Adam Schefter. Keeping him makes a little more sense now.

Still overpaid.

Also, Ralph is cheap.

since he will be on the wk1 roster they will have to pay his full season salary even after releasing him in a week or two (unless he gets picked up by another team). too bad they had to do it this way but as things shook out with vy they didnt have much choice really. jackson has a much better resume so its just about guaranteed thigpen will be cut as soon as they feel jackson is ready to take over if they need him to

$.10 is overpaying for Thigpen, he hit the Bills in a pinch lottery.

Vince Young is officially worthless.

Honestly. A team puts faith in a backup, and when he plays like hell, you have to keep the loser who "knows the system."

Tarvaris better catch on quick...

Good... He's terrible, shouldn't even be on the roster.. Makes me wonder if Chan is just doing a favor for Thigpen, seeing as they have a history... Certainly hope thats not the motivation behind him still being on the roster..

Not seeing how this "makes more sense" for us. We have 3.5 qbs on the roster, and only 4.5 wrs. I am not concerned with what we are paying these guys, but concerned with what roster spots they take up. I would like to think Fitz can hold on for a few games before getting injured again, giving T.Jackson time to learn the playbook. So the million dollars really does not make me feel any better about keeping Thigpen.

Just like I predicted, Thigpen's agent is looking over the #s: Vince Young 2 mil, Jackson, 1.75 mil, now Thigpen 1.5 mil. Who's ready for 1.25 mil next?
