Looks like we are going to have a lockout. I guess the Friday meetings resulted in the sides going farther apart and they aren't scheduled to meet this week at all. What a bunch of idiots.

how does Bettman still have a job? This is what- the 3rd work stoppage with him as Commissioner? It's a battle every single time.

And the TV contract situation blows. Granted, it's gotten better, but more because of the dumb luck of Comcast and NBC merging than anything Bettman did specifically. And it's still not as good as it was before the last lockout. If the Caps aren't playing on a Thurs or Fri night, chances are there is no hockey available on local TV, and I'm in the DC/Balt market, which is top 10 amongst US TV markets. That's insane.

Not that the players union is blameless here, but Bettman is an assclown. It shouldn't be this difficult every single time.

Can the sport survive another lockout?

Not in its' current form. Contraction may become inevitable.

Phoenix, Nashville, 2 teams in Florida.... please.

To be clear that's what I meant, not would we never see NHL hockey again.

Thanks.

I hope those players love their new life in Russia.

Well since the Sabres usually suck bad for 1/3 of the season, are average for 1/3 of the season and are lights out for the other 1/3 maybe we can get lucky and drop the suck bad third....

Why? That Bettman was referred to as an assclown?

Ha. A few years back, S11 lost a bet and had to change his username to "Assclown" for a year. To his credit, he stuck with it for the whole time,

Owners and Players swapped proposals the other night. Not sure if any progress was made.

Matters not.

Since the owners and players don't give a damn about us(or the people who work on the 30 teams....OR those who work behind the scenes at NHL games(full disclosure: I used to be one of the latter)), we now begin Operation F The NHL!
