Really? Injuries already? Why do the sports gods hate us?

Ed

He said his groin was at 90% the other day. They probably just want to rest him so he's as close to 100% as possible.

If this still hasn't healed and its bothering him before the 1st game, that could be SERIOUS problems for an already weak WR group

Ed

Keep in mind that his groin bothered him all of last year and he didn't miss any time. He was riding the bike at practice today, so it sounds like they're just being cautious with him.

Injuries already? BUF skated through the preseason. The sports gods handed them health on a silver platter during the preseason. BAL has 8 on IR, CIN, 6. BUF - one, AFAIK.

Yeah I can't think of a healthier preseason this team has had than this year.

Troup hasn't been healthy in over a year and he's just a depth player at best right now anyway, so him going on IR was no real loss. I'm not even sure if Zebrie Sanders was actually injured, but him going on IR was no real loss either since he wouldn't have played anyway. So really Brooks is the only significant injury right now and at least we have the option to bring him back at some point.

It doesn't matter.

There are basically 3 guys this team absolutely can't afford to lose: Mario Williams, Stevie, and Fred Jackson. Losing any one of the 3 for extended time will hose the season. And one is already hurt.

Gailey has said he's good to go, he just got tight yesterday. Still has me somewhat worried.

But hey Brad Smith returned to practice today!

I'm worried about Eric Berry going after Stevie's knee next week.

I think he rushed back too quickly in the Spring and pushes himself a little too much in TC. I know thats an odd thing to say but you need to be cautious with an injury like that. Rest and rehab!

I've been thinking about that too, I wonder why kind of shady hits they will be looking to get on Stevie

Nah - it was a bad hit by Johnson, but is was within the bounds of normal play.

As long as he's healthy on Sunday and doesn't aggravate it any more :crossfingers:

I can promise you Eric Berry has not forgotten the hit. He has never been a dirty player, he's actually a really nice guy in person too. That being said if he gets a chance to lay Stevie out he's going to take it.

Didn't he have surgery before training camp to fix this issue?

...receiver Stevie Johnson is listed as questionable for Sunday's opener against the New York Jets (http://www.isportstimes.com/articles/3279/20120906/buffalo-bills-news-stevie-johnson-new-york-jets.htm#) with a groin injury, but he said that it shouldn't be a cause for concern, according to The Associated Press (http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8346230/buffalo-bills-stevie-johnson-groin-uncertain-opener-new-york-jets). "I'm expected to play," Johnson said, "and I'll do everything I've got to do in the training room to be out there."

No it wasn't.

So Stevie was intentionally trying to hurt Berry? That same exact block is made over a dozen times every week in the NFL. Sucks Berry got hurt, but he needs to get the hell over it.

gotta love a guy who can be irrelevant at 3 different positions. That's got to be some kind of record for futility.

Berry was also still in the game a few plays after that hit. It is hard to say if his injury was caused by Stevies LEGAL block or if he injured it afterwards.

I've always said he injured it afterwards. It looked like he was trying to turn to make a play on Freddy. You can see it clearly in this video that his left knee just buckles. If it's anyone's fault, it's the Chief's medical staff for allowing him to go back out if they thought he was even remotely injured the first time around.

Well Fred Jackson didn't finish last year, Mario Williams didn't finish last year and Stevie was benched for immaturity. I like my chances winning the mega millions better than all three finishing the season. But if they do, we should be ok and playing a game in January.

No its not, he tried for like two plays and had almost no lateral movement. He shouldn't of even been out there.
