with 6 minutes and 2 scores down? That decision destroyed any hopes of a rally. Absolutely outrageous.

We had no timeouts and our defense hasn't gotten any stops all day...

Chan Gailey is a horrible coach. What else would you expect? I fully expect much more buffoonery this year.

So just give up and tell your defense that their day is over. Don't give them a chance to turn it around.
A team will never stop being losers if they have a loser mentality.

So waiting to see if your defense will turn it around when they have shown for an entire game that they can't get stops is better than going for an on side kick with no timeouts and some momentum on offense? I disagree. The onside kick was fine.

No time outs, people. Had to try to keep the ball. If it was one score, then maybe, but there was no way down by that much. Think.

It's a coin toss based on at least one Jets possession (3 runs = ~2 minutes off the clock) & we had some momentum.

We certainly didn't lose cuz of that call.

Yes.
That decision ended any momentum they had. I can't think of anything more deflating than conceding the game with 6 minutes left.

An onside kick is not trying.

I don't think that even means anything.

It was wayyyyy too early for an onside kick. They had 6 minutes left, and the two quick TDs may have helped with momentum for our D...oh well, guess not.

If it would've worked it would have been a great call.

I don't know why they don't try more up the middle (a la Christie in the Comeback), especially with the new rules.

Defense forced a punt once I think. Who ****ing cares, we weren't getting the ball with these scrubs playing the way they were.

Even with one side kick Bills D had chance to force 3 and out! It wasnt going to happen no matter where the ball was.

It was the right decision. It was horrible execution.

Philagape

An onside kick has about a 1-in-5 success rate. Execution should not be expected.
It's what you do when you have no other choice. It's like trying a 50-yard bomb on 4th and 10. Probably screwed either way, but you piss away what little chance you have.

I'm not talking about recovering. I know the odds are against it. I'm talking about giving our guys a shot at the ball. He kicked it right to Tebow. We never even had a prayer. We aren't going to recover every one- that's a given. But the kick has to be better so there is at least a shot.

Yeah but that's only because he's Tim Tebow. He willed the ball to him.

Correction: he prayed and Jesus willed the ball to him. Tebow and Jesus are tight. They meet at Applebee's every Tuesday for jalapeņo poppers and virgin margaritas.
