View Full Version : Remember that griping about "not keeping a 4th RB just in case"?

I guess it didn't actually matter if we kept a 4th RB, because guess what - we resigned Johnny White. So not having him on the 53 made absolutely zero difference.

And that Spiller pick was such a waste, wasn't it?

Plus I dont know about you, but I thought Freddie is starting to show his age and looked much slower in camp and preseason this year. Im thrilled we got Spiller and cant wait to see him get his chance.

I agree with that. I was actually thinking the same thing. He has that electric quality about him where you know he's one step away from taking it the distance. Can't teach speed and instinct.

Unfortunately for the Bills, Spiller has the great speed and Fred has the great instincts.

Being an optimist, with a good oline, and cj, along with fitz just being a game manager, could we replicate the mid 70s teams?

I think Spiller is starting to fiqure it out. He finished strong last season and played well against the Jets. He uses his blocking much better now.
I'm not saying he's OJ but maybe we can get lucky and get a back like Johnson from Tenn. is.

The biggest difference in Spiller is his patience. I noticed several times on Sunday when he was slowing down and placing his hand on the back of the lineman in front of him and making his cut after said lineman initiated contact. Thats a great sign in his development. I'm expecting a big game from him this weekend.

Coulda opted for Jason Pierre-Paul and saved themselves $100 million plus.

So the Wilsons would be $100 mil richer and Tashard Choice would be the starter right now.

You've convinced me.

If you think Marshawn would still be here, you don't know this front office very well.

And Fred is, um, injured.

Technically Marshawn was the starter
