Cutler has been to the playoffs and when he gets hot he can carry a team for a few weeks. He also sucks sometimes which is why he's not elite. But if we can have either Cutler or Whitner right now - all sane individuals on this board would grab Cutler and we'd be talking realistically about playoffs. Cutler and Whitner are probably about even in terms of their their ability compared to average at their position, but one plays QB and one plays safety - and in case you don't know by know, QB's have more impact than safeties.Originally posted by Albany,n.y. Not true. Rodgers was drafted in 2005, Cutler in 2006. JP was drafted in 2004 and while the 1st round pick could have been used in 2005 to draft Rodgers, it had already been traded away to Dallas for JP.
