Not surprising.

The Browns won't be favored in a single game all season.

Bills as road favorites = sucker bet.

They couldn't cover when they were going to the Super Bowl.

This is a stingy defense. Very very strong inside so it could be a tough day for CJ and the OL to find space. They need to get outside on these guys in the run game and screen game. It should be a game where we have more success throwing than running though. Joe Haden is out and the replacements at CB are weak. Stevie should have a big game.

Should be an interesting game.

I watched CLE@CIN. Forget CIN this year...Starting LG gone for the season, starting C on that 8 game IR, rookie RG, back-up RB missing since pre-season, starting DE out since 1st preseason game, lost his replacement Sunday, lost starting LB in practice, who lead the club in tackles last year, #1 pick lost in 1st practice session, idiot owner/GM/HC and so on.

Weedon and Richardson looked good .Many play-actions by Weedon. Kudos to the CLE OL. CINs' LBs were AWOL, and their DB corps are sub-standard. CLE had good DL pressure, took advantage of CINs' decimated middle OL. Dalton suffered 6 sacks, but he should have been able to have dumped the ball on 2 of them. A regression for him.

CLE exploited every teams' Achilles Heel under all the rule changes - middle, be it TE or RB. CIN's kick coverage was decent; Cribbs wasn't a factor.

CLE has 2 losses by a total of 8 points.

a trap? Are the Bills good enough to have trap games yet?

I'm mostly worried about Spiller. The Browns have not defended the run well and if Glenn is there pushing people around the Browns could be in for a long day. The coach needs to bench Maiava and Fujita at LB and let the young guys (Fort and Robertson) play. They are so much better in just about every task a linebacker needs to perform.

I think the Browns' best shot is to attack up the middle with the run, then pick on your corners off of play action. I know you have two talented DTs, but it looked like KC had a lot more success up the gut than trying to get to the edge. Mark Anderson looked better in run support than his reputation.

The Browns pass rush has been a real terror the first two weeks. If we can get you guys passing the ball, I think we'll be in good shape. Five picks, six sacks, and a ton of QB hits in the first two games. Should be fun to watch.

Not really, but the Bills seem to play their worst against Cleveland. 2-8 since Ronnie Harmon's bumble.

That 6-3 stinker was the low point of Mangini's first season to me... and it was the only game we won of our first 12. I think Derek Anderson went 2-17 and there were 8 dropped passes by the Browns that game. I'm sure I don't have to remind you guys how that ended.

I expected a cushy win against the Chiefs. For whatever reason, we just have their number.

But this week is another story.

The Browns own the Bills in recent history; constantly edging us out in agonizingly close games.

I don't feel very confident going into this game.

I think we'll win, but it will come down to the wire.

We have an opportunistic defense and Weedon is a turnover machine. The downside is that Trent Richardson realized he can play ball last week.

We turn the tables. Maybe Rian Lindell redeems himself for his awful choke job against the Browns on national TV a few years ago.

Our DL has shut the run down pretty well this year, so I'm not that worried about Richardson running all over us. Had this been 2 or 3 years ago, we'd be looking at a 150 yard day from him. I would blitz early and try to make their rookie as uncomfortable as possible back there.

Running up the gut won't be easy against the Browns, but Gailey is very good at disguising protection and running mis-direction plays.

This game will be won in the trenches, but it's Buffalo on the road, so you never know.

Because it's away, in Ohio, against a team with orange on their jerseys and a rookie QB?

LOL, that game ended in a tie. Ironically, that was also the 20th anniversary of the Denny Pratt tragedy.

September 21, 2008 Bills -10 over Raiders

Bills score 17 in the 4th quarter to edge the Raiders, 24-23. Lindell kicks the FG as time expires.

This means that as long as we are the last ones with the ball we will win the game. The hallmark of Dickball on defense is to keep the game close and then give the other team to go on a long drive late in the fourth and run out the clock and beat you. We must just minimize mistakes in the first three quarters and win in the fourth.

Chan Gailey's offense vs. Dick Jaurons defense.
They have three former HCs on their staff: Jauron, OC Brad Childress, and Sr. Defense Assistant Ray Rhodes.

They also have Chuck Bullough, Defensive Assistant. His father was former Bills HC Hank Bullough, one of the more curious hires of Ralph Wilson's forgettable history.

Dunno. All the rules changes through the years made the NFL a study in schizophrenia. One Sunday, you get blown out, next day, you flatten somebody else.

The browns have the 29th ranked D but that doesn't say anything at this point. Their rush D is suspect.

We have to have the same gameplan we had against KC. Rush 4 passers and dare the rookie Weeden to throw in traffic. We can't look past them especially since a rookie like Dalton torched us last year.

Torched by the rookie Dalton? He was 18 of 36, 2 int, in a 23-20 loss by BUF. His wrs won that game

How stupid does Ralph have to be to hire Johnson twice?

"Well, Harve, I hope you've learned a thing or two."

"I sure have! I'm investing all my retirement in Bethlehem Steel and Ernie Warlick is giving me a stake in Henry's Hamburgers!"

"Attaboy! I sure am glad I didn't get that Miami franchise. Buffalo is hopping!"

He didn't just do it with his arm. He beat us with his legs too.

And I dunno, but I might at least consider his second half performance worthy of "torch": 11/16, 182 yards, a TD passing, a TD running, and a crucial run to keep the winning drive alive. His rating in the 2nd half was 101.6.

The Bills stopped Cinci once in the second half. Once.

A regression for him.

24-31 for 318 and 3 TD's. I wish Fitz had that kind of regression.

Chan Gailey's offense is tailored to beat Dick Jauron's defense.

Quick throws will limit the effectiveness of Cleveland's pass rush up front.

As long as Fitzpuke doesn't turn the ball over 2+ times, the Bills win.

If Brandon Weeden from week 1 shows up, the Bills win regardless of what Fitz does.

I, unlike CleveSteve, am not as high on Fort and Robertson. Not that Fujita is playing very well this year.

I think the Bills win this game by 2 scores honestly.

The Bills have not been consistent at all to think any game is a given. In two games we saw two totally different teams. With Fitzpatrick leading the offense I never feel comfortable.

I liked Weeden's poise @CIN. Nice game by Richardson - showed good ball protection, tucks the ball up high and tight thru the line.

Cribbs should range left right on the KOs, perhaps break right - his division is on to his usual moves.
