THese refs are so effing bad. The deer-in-the-headlights look on their faces makes the NFL look so bad.

Like all great QBs, time is catching up with Payton Manning & Tom Brady just as it did with Dan Marino & Jim Kelly. It is going to be fun watching the two of them go down in flames.

Sportscenter mentioned that the last time a QB threw 3 picks in the first quarter was good ol' Trent Edwards back in '08.

At least Trent can say he shares something in common with Peyton now.

Really sad to see.

Peyton is my favourite non-Bill football player of all time. I loved watching him carve defenses up for years.

I don't know why it's "LOL" worthy. The guy was a class act and one of the greatest players of all time.

Manning WAS a great QB. As far as a class act, not so much from what I have been told. He was never liked in INDY.........off the field.

Never liked in Indy?

That's ridiculous. He made them relevant for over a decade.

They were always my second favourite team, so I followed them a bit more than any regular team. I've never heard anything about him not being liked off the field.

Do you know anyone that lives in Indy? My Sister inlaw & Brother inlaw do. They have both told me Manning does not have a good reputation in INDY OFF the field. Yes they were happy to watch him play, but when he went out, he was a jerk to people & a cheap tipper. He wanted to be paid to have his name associated with a local hospital & was paid for that.

Ya a couple people I know live in Indy, but they aren't huge football fans.

That's very odd. I'm sure your story is legit, but I've just never heard that before.

In fact, I just looked up anything off field about him because I'm curious now and this is what I found:

15836

Said he was an insanely good tipper among other things.

As far as I know, he's a model citizen off the field and very private.

Anyway, my original point was that (anecdotes not withstanding) I don't think there's really a reason to "LOL" at the end of a career of one of the best football players of all time.

I've never heard Manning was a jerk off the field, only heard he's always been a stand up guy. I think his arm is fine, he just made horrible decisions on those throws/INTs, throwing into triple coverage.

I don't think his Brain was totally in that game.. at least in the first half .. his arm was making an attempt but his brain not so much.

I heard this last night too.. I also heard that there was only ONE QB to throw 4 INTs in the first quarter or half (can't remember exact) but that was Brady in 2001! Crazy!!

I didn't see a shot arm. ATL played a heck of a defense...right place at the right time.

I missed the first quarter, but after that, it seemed to me that his recievers were always well covered. Seemed to me that he was trying to get the ball to them, but there was no separation. That being said, his accuracy also seemed a bit off.

Well, I saw a number of balls that fluttered with very little sprial on them. They did not look like an NFL QB's throws.
