    Bucs release WR Preston Parker

The kid had 40 catches last season, and is only 25. I know he has a minor foot injury but he was in full pads playing yesterday.

6'0, 200lbs. I think he had some legal trouble at FSU but has been clear since going pro.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Not with that name, the guy sounds like a preppy jerk. He'd show up to practice in an ascot or something.

Solid Slot guy but doesn't offer much more. He won't replace Nelson's size but he would give us a proven guy in the slot. I'd give him a chance yet the question is who to cut for him? Maybe Chris White?

Any player with less than 4 years service time is subject to waivers before becoming a free agent. After the trading deadline, all players are subject to waivers, including vets.

Don't think anyone is claiming Parker. He is a roster-bubble guy who is cut because he has been terrible on ST. Doubt anyone is claiming him.
