    I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
    "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
    You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all     true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
    He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can     mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

          I'm sad to see him go. He's been a class act and a great player, but Father Time eventually gets us all.
          Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

                still trying to trim the fat off the losing culture which he has been a part of for freaking 12yrs. Still a few left to go....Kelsay being the most obvious

                  Great guy both on the field and in the community...had some cool fake punts in his time here...overall, he's a punter...so I will not cry myself to sleep about him not being on the roster.
                  The last time the Bills made the playoffs was 1999.

                        I remember int 3-13 losing season of 2001, he was staying warm on the sideline punting into the net. He missed and boomed one into the stands. What a brutal season that was.

                          I definitely didn't see this coming. Lets just hope our new punter is the real deal. Some might only look at it as "it's only a punter" but a good/bad punter can dramatically change the momentum and outcomes in games with field position, etc.
