NASHVILLE, TN July 7, 2003 -- The Tennessee Titans’ secondary is now a season removed from the disturbing odyssey that was 2001.
What a difference a year makes.
The National Football League opens itself to great plays and great personalities as much as it does to ridicule and finger pointing. The Titans got the latter in 2001, with the secondary dangling at the tip of the nail.
One season and two new starters later, the Titans’ defensive backfield was transformed into the backbone it once was.
