Replacement refs:

Bills 21
Patriots* 17

Real Refs

Patriots 28*
Bills 20 (Bills have a 21-20 lead with three seconds left, Refs decide pats have been screwed too often and so one point is taken off to our score and Choice's TD is awarded for the Pats).

24-21 Patriots. I see them pulling out a close one here. Hope I'm wrong and the Bills win. Winning this game would be a bigger statement than last year's was. If the Bills want to make the post season this year, this is a must win because they are already behind losing to the Jets in week 1. JMO

Fitz and the passing game look like they did in the first half of last season, Fitzpatrick- 300+ yards and 3 TD's, Stevie- 2 TD's, Chandler- 1 TD.

Every now and then life presents an opportunity for us to define ourselves. A chance to break away from the pack. A chance to be something more. Courage required. How we handle those moments defines how we see ourselves from that point forward, and effects our future, good or bad.

This week the Bills face one of those opportunities. A win puts them in control of the division. In control of thier destiny. It makes them the top dog that everyone will be after. Courage required.

For 10+ years we have seen the Bills face these tests, and implode. Everytime they have a chance to rise to the next level they fail the courage check, and the heart failure takes several years recover from. The question is, will they rise up? or fall down?

Great men......great leaders recognize these moments, and it is at this time that they become something more, something greater, and become legends. In the turnaround from bottom feeder to playoff contender, every rising team faces such a moment, and in that moment, some player, at some moment, carries the team, inspires it, and wills it to be more than it was. It starts with one moment and one win, but the effect is a team that understands what heart is, that believes in itself, and doesn't quit. That is wht is needed to be a winner.

I believe we will see that Sunday against the Patriots. I think Fred Jackson recognizes the critical importance of this moment for this team. He does not have enough years left in him to wait for another psyche rebuild. There are few things more inspirational, and more feared, than a wounded lion fighting for his pride. (Duel meaning intended.) If they do not win today, Fred may not get another chance to finish his rise from nothing to greatness. He will give everything his body has and will this team to win. He will inspire them, and they will play for him. The Bills will finally be on the right side of a statement game, and when they get into the playoffs this year, everyone will remember this game against the Patriots, as the place that it all began.

Weather calls for a rainy day in Buffalo...wish Fred and CJ were both healthy for this one because of that...

I think the Bills win. The bane of the Bills defense throughout the years have been TEs. With the Pats TEs banged up and Mankins out, Brady will have to look to his WRs. He'll have to drop back and I think Dareus and K. Williams will be disruptive all day. Coupled with the Bills OL playing lights out and either Fred and or CJ getting some touches and Choice's tough running between the tackles, I think the Bills grind out a tough, ugly win in the rain.
