View Full Version : I'm tired of Fitz

IMO he singlehandedly lost the game for us today. His slow starts and inaccuracy is getting really old. And he doesn't have much of an arm, every throw he's wincing just to get it out.

We need a real big arm QB> We need to draft a Flacco type guy in the high round.

How many years of mediocre QBs do we have to live through?

I'd say our defense lost us the game. It was Fitz that helped us get a 21-7 lead.

He still sucks though and I hold my breath each time I see him reach back to throw the ball.

Fitz is a turnover machine, but he didn't allow 50+ points and almost 600 total yards. Pats were short 2 of their best offensive players (Hernandez/Mankins) and had fumbles and missed FG that cost them more points. Not to defend Fitz, but he wasn't alone in making mistakes.

I felt like it was a total team effort in the loss. our Oline wasn't great, Fitz threw 4 INT, our two RB fumbled, our D completely sucked against the run. embarrassing to allow NE to have two 100 yd rbs and two 100 yd receivers.

Fitzpatrick has been terrible for 7 years now. He blows. As has, always will. Good back up, that is all.

The pats started their drive on the 48 yard line, 42 yard line, the 12 yard line and another short field. Can't remember the last one. Most defenses will struggle to stop teams when they are going right back on the field after the offense turns the ball over. Fitzputrid single-handedly makes this team worse. It also doesn't help when you have an idiot head coach.

At this point just counting down the games until T-Jacks gets a few starts, then plays just well enough for the coaches to be "confident" in him and avoid drafting a QB.

Fitz sucks. No doubt about that but I don't see how anyone can really believe he singlehandedly cost us the game. We had a 14 point lead and the defense fell to pieces. Total team loss.

They also had drives of 80, 85 and 90 yards in the game.

So what.

So it wasn't all short fields. It was a lot of bad defense, to the tune of almost 600 yards.

If he's so smart, why does he constantly stare down his receivers?

Stares them down, then proceeds to overthrow, under throw or throw behind his WR/TE/RB. In 4 games I could probably count the number of passes FitzPICKtric has put on the money on one hand.

Pickspatrick is Fitzputrid.

Put in JACKSON for the rest of the season and draft a better QB, 2-14 should get us the number 1 draft pick.He just doesn't get it. I try to like him but he just cant win.

He's a very likable guy. I want him to do well because he's a quality person, but he's holding this team back. He can play with lower competition but when it comes to veteran teams he's toast. In a perfect world he'd take us to the superbowl and win it, but that's not going to happen so it's time to look for a new young starter to come in before we waste the talent that we do have here.

It was mentioned last year that the Fitz contract had a clean out (no cap hit) after this 2012 season and I doubt after yesterday he'll be the starter next season.

The 1st round pick should be a QB, followed by 2-3 LB's with speed.

There is a general lack of fire and passion on this team, save for a select few (FJ).

I said in camp, that I wanted to see how Fitz would perform "with an extra second" before I passed judgement on him.

Well, truth be told, he's had time. The O line has been pretty good for four weeks, yet his accuracy isn't coming around.

If we're 2-4 after the two road trips, I would make the change.

I know I know... Lets put a mediocre QB in a spread offense and ask him to throw it 30-40 times a game!

Not because we should... But because we can!

yeah... That's it.

It was mentioned last year that the Fitz contract had a clean out (no cap hit) after this 2012 season.

Fitz received a $10M signing bonus that is amortized at $2M per season from 2011-2015. He received a $5M option bonus that is amortized at $1M per season from 2012-2016. If he is cut after this season, he will count as $10M in dead money on the 2013 cap. He has a $3M roster bonus due early in the league year, so he would have to be cut the first week of free agency.
