The KHL has struck a deal with ESPN to broadcast matches from the Russian-based league in the United States, officials said Tuesday.

That's ESPN's way of sticking it to the NHL since the NHL went with OLN/VS/NBC Sports Network in lieu of ESPN after the last lockout.

That's ESPN's way of sticking it to the NHL since the NHL went with OLN/VS/NBC Sports Network in lieu of ESPN after the last lockout.

Seriously, can you blame them? ESPN had marginalized the NHL to the point where they were lucky if they could get a spot on either the mothership or ESPN2 by the end of the contract.
