NHL cancels the first two weeks of the season:

If, by some miracle, they work things out, the Sabres' opener will now be Oct 26 at NJ.

I'm not holding my breath, though. I'm just hoping they have an opener at some point in 2013.

I'm heading back to home this December for 9 days. I'm praying I get to watch a few Sabres games while I'm home.

KHL will be shown live on ESPN2 today with Barry Melrose doing color commentary. I think Ovechkin is playing.

ESPN is really trying to stick it to the NHL.
