if the Bills continue to suck at this rate for the rest of the season, there's no way that Gailey can be brought back and when does Nix get held accountable for his lousy drafting? So who would you want to replace these two failures? Three years ago when Gailey was hired, nobody wanted to coach this team. Who is out there that can help this team as a GM or head coach?

Cowher already blew us off once, why would he change his mind now? All three of these coaches have been out of the game for so long now, would they really able to help?

Its not what I want, and I hope to God I am wrong but I have an uneasy feeling about it.

I think we should make Ralph himself spend a year on the sidelines as head coach.

How about the coaching staff from the South Buffalo Celts? They seem to be doing OK. What the hay.

Hire me.

Why?

Why not?!?!?

As if the last twelve years haven't been mortifying enough, it appears we hired a head coach even worse than Hank Bullough.

I did not know this was possible.

I wasn't being serious. Topic was name the next HC/GM. Those two probably have a better chance of actually wanting and taking the job than anyone I would list. There's a bunch of coaches and GM's that can help, but we'll end up with a pile of **** once again.

Doug Whaley will be a good GM.

Who I'd like:

GM: Doug Whaley
HC: Bill Cowher

Whaley and Cowher worked together in Pittsburgh, so I think it would be a natural fit. Hell, he could even retain Gailey as OC if he wanted to. Cowher has worked with Herm Edwards in the past, so there's a possible DC as well. Another choice I could live with as DC would be Eric Mangini, off the top of my head.

Who the Bills will likely get:

GM: Nix leaves and Whaley takes a job with another team, expressing his desire to be in a real NFL Front Office. Russ Brandon, Jim Overdorf and Jeff Littman will proudly tell Ralph "We Got This" and the three will become co-GM's.

HC: Some retread for the 1990's Jets. Front Runners include Bruce Coslet, Al Groh and Rich Kotite.

Exactly, no need to tarnish their careers.

When Gailey and his staff get fired, OBD will announce that a new head coach has been hired and every Bills fan will collectively say, "Who?" or "Is he still alive?" or "YGBFKM!"

This one's a lock, kids.

It will be Whaley and ex Colts coach Jim Caldwell.

Ralph likes old guys so my guess is Bud Grant or Mike Ditka gets named HC, as for GM, well I really don't know. All I can say is that the whole thing reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Mr. Burns is trying to put together a baseball team:

The plot thickens...

http://blogs.ajc.com/georgia-tech-sports/2012/10/08/al-groh-fired-at-tech/

Groh’s tenure concluded in a blizzard of points, yards and missed tackles. In Tech’s past three games, losses to Miami, Middle Tennessee State and Clemson, the Yellow Jackets gave up an average of 46 points and 573.3 yards. Opponents converted 31 of 46 third downs into first downs. Improbably, Tech fared slightly worse when opponents faced 3rd-and-7 or longer than 3rd-and-6 or less.

Tech gave up more than 40 points in the three consecutive games, the first time that has happened in school history.

Sound familiar...?

I can't believe there were many people who defended this bum when he was hired AND over the past couple years. I'm completely shocked that there are still some people that can still defend him today.

There were better choices that could've been made. We would've been better off trying to hire a successful coordinator from another team instead of a retread who was proven loser.

I wanted the Bills to hire Sherman back when they hired Jauron. I wonder how that would have worked out. He seemed like a guy with some fire in his belly on hard knocks.

If I had to guess, I'd say Whaley, and Wannstedt. Not what I'd like, but knowing this team, a move like that wouldn't surprise me. JMO

I'm calling it: Jim Fassel.

If he's willing to coach second-rate football in the middle of the freaking desert, then he'll coach in Buffalo. It's only a matter of time before his employer goes belly-up.
