Thread after thread about Chan and Fitz without any word from you fans on the offensive skill positions.

My opinion... Stevie is okay but was the Chris Bosh of the NFL receivers. The best on a ****ty team which made him seem all world.

Behind him there's me and gibby running routes. The TE position is not really a threat.. WTF is Fitz supposed to do?

Ask anyone that doesn't follow Buffalo to name a WR on Buffalo other than SJ and you get a doofy blank stare. (Unless the guy had a ****ty pick and searched deep during a 17 round 12 team fantasy draft.)

On D ask the same guy to name 1 linebacker or cover guy... We really messed up the dude by releasing Moorman.

Aside from a Dline that is underperforming with names... Who plays for Buffalo?

I had this conversation 2 hours ago. The response I got was who was that receiver that got killed by Wilfork

What's your point? Chan's system is built around not needing superstars at the skill positions. We've had abundant evidence in the last few weeks that these guys are getting open - Fitz just can't hit them.

The WR's definitely struggle and Johnson has made his share of mistakes too.

Here's the problem: Fitz is missing them and leading them into hits. When he does get a completion, most of the time it's behind the WR, forcing him to stop or slow down and eliminating any chance of YAC.

I agree this team can use an upgrade at WR, but the WR's are escaping criticism because Fitz is constantly putting them in a position to fail There isn't really much more that they can do.

As far as LB, yeah, they suck too. But we knew that going in. The vaunted DL was supposed to make their job easier, and they aren't. That being said, I do think there has been plenty of criticism of the LB's on this board.

Read this weeks Eye in the Sky. Fitz had three big plays to 3 different receivers (Steve, CJ, Jones), and he missed badly on every throw.

Poor Fitz, how can the sideline treat him so unfairly, he needs more room to throw!

The exact reason I want AJ green but Fitzputrid is still Fitzputrid and he couldn't make the passes to receivers if he had a pro-bowel roster.

Jones has been miles better this year than last, IMO.

The NFL pass-favoring rules, and college spread conspire. IMO, a lot of "top" wrs, pro and college, would be camp fodder if the show biz rules didn't run football.

TMQ spoke a nifty phase a week or so ago - he said todays' NFL and college ball "is like playing basketball on grass. Most every possession results in a score."

NFL = WWF. Same sham.

We have a TE that leads the league in TD's for TE's and also has he highest 1st down % among TE's and is tied for 4th in plays over 20 yards (with almost 1 less game), yet people still want to think of the position as a weakness. The Bills do not target the TE like some teams, which is why he doesn't have 25-30 receptions. He has struggled a few times this season, but he still leads the team in TD's and seldom drops anything and also has been a solid blocker.
As far as "WTF is Fitz suppose to do", maybe he should try hitting the receiver's that have their men beat more often, instead of throwing it out of bounds or 5 yards short.

i can remember TJ Grahm (sp) being open deep at least 3 times this season, one in the pats games that would have been a 90 yard TD, that all have been underthrown.

Honestly, our receivers haven't been bad. Fitz has not put them in a situation to succeed, but for the most part they've been open.

Right, as someone already pointed out, how many times has he missed TJ? This guy wasn't ready to start the season according to the staff, but somehow he's found himself wide open in Cleveland, and twice against the Pats. If Fitz executes TJ may be ahead, statistically, of the receivers taken in the first two rounds?

We have perhaps the best route runner in the NFL (Stevie), 2 pro bowl caliber RB's who can catch like WR's, a TE that cant block in the run game for **** but is generally an above average pass catcher, a world class sprinter who keeps getting underthrown (Graham), and one of the toughest young WR's in the NFL and a RAC specialist in Jones (reminds me of Pierre Garcon this year).

I was a Donald Jones hater last year but he's played well and has been open in 2012. Stevie is open a ton.

I sat in the end zone for last weeks game. There were a lot of plays to be made for a QB with accuracy. Andrew Luck would have this team in a much better spot.

It seems that at least once every game Stevie had gotten beyond the defense, only to have the ball miss him by 5 yards. There's no corner in the league that can shut down Johnson one on one, he's just too elusive. I can only imagine what his numbers would look like if he had a good QB throwing him the ball. When healthy the O-Line has been above average, the running backs have been above average and the TE has been above average. The receivers when connected with, have been above average, they've turned in some huge YAC's. The only position on the offense that has not been above average (or at least average) has been the QB, he has a lot of TD's but most of them have come from great running after the catch. More so than the ints. has been the failure to sustain drives or score because of the missed opportunities to hit open receivers. The inability to keep the offense on the field and the turnovers has also put the defense in a hole. IMO the QB position is what's hurting this team the most right now, Fitz has had the targets, he's failed to get them the ball.
