This team has weaknesses in virtually every area, except one -- running back. Jackson and Spiller are the best 1-2 punch in the league and even Choice, the 3rd stringer, is decent.

Our best game of the year, against KC, was a blowout because they took the game out of Fitz's hands and played to the Bill's strength -- the running game! Last week, Spiller had 12 carries for 88 yards...over 7 YPC. Why only 12 rushes? Chan nearly blew that game was dumbass play-calling that featured not only our crappy 1st-string QB, but or even crappier 3rd-string QB!

Fitzpatrick sucks, and you'd have to be a member of his family or completely delusional to believe otherwise. Why not adopt the power running game?

Buffalo is #5 in the league in rushing yards per game (147.7), behind only SF, Washington, KC and NE. That's a pretty good dose of running the ball, IMO.

Plus, they are 25th in pass attempts per game, 10th in rush attempts.

Has anyone else noticed that on multiple ~3rd and 1 situations this season we have thrown a low percentage go route to spiller down the side line? Why the hell does Gailey keep calling that crap. Lineup, pound the rock, and move the chains. Gailey is an ass clown.

Why won't Gailey bench Putzpatrick? Right, because he is an idiot.

They're also 3rd in average per attempt (5.1) only behind the 49'ers and Redskins (RG III 6.9). It doesn't seem like they run it enough, maybe because every Fitz pass is painful to watch.

There would be a lot more running the ball if they could eliminate the 3 and outs. They cannot rely on the run all the time. The passing game must get better.

They'd be better running even more, since Fitz is getting worse every week. He can't even hit the 7 yard slant with any consistency.

We are limited while the coaching staff decrees that Fitz is the only option, allowing the opposing D to simplify their game plan.

For several years now the NFL has gradually become a passing league. Perhaps now is the time to reverse that trend. With a good OL and fine running backs we can start that change. I believe it's an obvious path to follow considering our QB. Look what San Fran can do with a marginal QB.

i think they're doing a good job running the ball. it's the errant passes from Fitzpatrick that makes it seem the Bills aren't running the ball enough.

It's not a terrible play if you can actually complete it, but with Fitz you can't so it ends up being terrible even thought Spillers smoked his man.

If you head on over to Football Outsiders they have their OL numbers posted. We're one of the worst run teams on short yardage situations. Gailey wants to run against sub packages, not base defenses, especially with the OL being banged up. Not saying I agree with it, is what it is.

This drives me nuts, he did it last season a few times on fourth and short as well.
