BountyGate goes completely off the rails

And you can thank the Commish for that, says Dave Zirin at The Nation.

I mean...seriously...first you suspend 4 Saints players for varying lengths...suspend the HC for a year...and now you're not even going to hear the appeals of the 4? That is ***** WEAK, Commish!

Not to mention that the guy who turned out to be the snitch for the whole matter...AND one of the suspended players...put Roger Goodell on blast recently.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell’s effort to be Rudyard Kipling spliced with Gordon Gekko looks like it’s on the road to failure.
John Hemingway(facing certain death): I want to see Buffalo win the Super Bowl.
David Coltrane(threatening John): Nobody's going to live that long, pal.

That's what the players involved asked for... So, when Tagliabue makes his judgement (and I'd about bet he'll uphold the suspensions) the players can't ***** about it not being a "fair decision."

Yet that's exactly what they're doing.

The union, typical of what unions do, is obstructing to protect its wrongdoing.

Yet not word one of Goodell apparently overstepping his bounds.
