People please.

We know Fitz sucks, but we are not going to get better by signing other teams' rejects/backups. Remember Kelly Holcomb? Geoff Hangartner? Hell, even Fitz was a Cincy reject.

We are not going to get better by trading for/signing turnover-prone QB's discarded by other teams. And by that, I specifically mean Vick and Romo.

no becuz he knows nothing about our system.

he would never be up to speed in time

he will be available this offseason

if it was march 2012 yes

Absolutely not at this point in the season. The Bills are better off putting T-J behind center.

Hell no for Vick.
**** no for Rivers.

There has been no one more overrated and overhyped than Rivers. Everyone always automatically put him in the semi-elite category, yet the guy never won even with Tomlinson and Vincent Jackson and Antonio Gates and a stout defense on the team. The team has gone through couple of coaches, and everyone wonders why they haven't gone deep into the playoffs. Well, there's one constant. Rivers.

Vick is a more athletic Fitz, and nothing else. Turnover machines.

This "anyone but Fitz" mentality is stupid.

We need to do better than Fitz. I think everyone is in agreement on that. But different isn't the same as better.

I think Rivers is better than Fitz and a better option than Vick or Romo, but he's still not good enough.

It's an impossible choice. Get a guy who's better than what we have but still not good enough, or stick with the guy that sucks and hope we can find an opportunity to get a real QB.

didn't the Bills give up enough for a QB in the 2004 draft?

Vick's contract is even worse than Fitzy's. If Tarvaris Jackson can't even get dressed for gamedays, we are not trading for Vick to start midseason.

Vick had a good part of the season after coming back to the NFL and cashed in from it. He has been junk since. I remember just last year people upset that they heard Buffalo had a shot at getting him.

Wow... even the most unintelligent or uninformed Bills fan knows how unbelievably stupid and pointless this thread is.

No. We don't need to nor will we trade for Vick. If we do, may God strike me down. WE ALREADY TRADED FOR A QB AND HE SITS BEHIND THIGPEN.

Are MMDT and Mike the same person?

Yes, for the right price. The right price is them giving us their next two 1st rounders as well to take him off their hands.

I would definitely trade for Vick. He has a rocket arm and in Gailey's system he could thrive. Just think about the running lanes Fitz gets in our spread offense, imagine Vick getting those lanes. Plus he is more accurate and the speed combo of Vick and Spiller would be crazy.

I agree, it'd be a speed offense. It's not like passing 7 yards needs years of training (Fitz).

I don't agree with any of this. What I see of Gailey's system demands that the QB make sharp pre-snap reads and get the ball out quickly. Vick was and remains terrible at reading defenses and holds the ball forever because he trusts his legs to get him out of danger (hence all the sacks, fumbles, and injuries). I think he's a much better fit for Philly, where he's got two absolute scorchers on the outside that he can just hit over the top. Here, he'd have to hit our little jitterbug wideouts like Donald Jones on short routes and he's actually getting worse at that.

And there is no way on earth I'd want Vick running. The guy's 32 and he's only completed one 16 game season.

Also remember his $100M contract. Ha, like another poster said, the right price might be the Bills getting Vick & 2 First Round Picks.
