That's would be nice but it's a fantasy. Anyway we already have a great HC. Just as X-Era LOL. He had a winning season 13 years ago and had a great record with 5-6 losses every year in college football before coming here. We don't need Sean Payton.

It probably is a fantasy but back up the Brinks truck and give him 10m. 12m. 20m who cares about the exact dollar amount.

He is a guy who is a proven winner. He is a guy who UTILIZED a back, Sproles, like we should be utilizing Spiller.

Bring him in for whatever it takes and allow him to find the QB he wants to pattern the offense around.

More like Sean, you see that Brinks truck in front of your house? There's 7 years of winning lottery tickets in there. Sean isn't under contract & actually any monies he is promised would not be regulated under the NFL because he's not employed by any NFL teams. It's be like showing up at Hurkey's house, just that Sean doesn't live in the back of a trailer park's sump pump station like Hurkeynuts.

Exactly show up at his door with a Brinks truck and tell him "Mr Payton, I am Buddy Nix from the Buffalo Bills and I am here to make you the highest paid coach in professional sports history. What dollar amount will it take? You name it and you got it."

Money talks to some. Dunno if Payton would be that guy but he's there, he's available. The overture to him should be made ASAP.

So you're saying we should bring in a coach that knows how to make players better, understands a hurry-up offense, and wins??? Sounds great to me, but unfortunately, that hasn't been the Bills M.O. for years now.

Never happen.

If he doesn't get a newer, bigger deal from New Orleans he'll end up in Dallas.

Sure, make the phone call, but I wouldn't expect much of a response.

My link is to statements that Payton says he plans to be with the Saints next year. He does not want to leave New Orleans.

Double his pay & see how he feels then, feelings change with huge compensation & I can personally assure that people change for the extra $.

Payton wouldn't want to coach here. This team is in free fall with an uncertain future looming until they are sold to a new owner. No self respecting Head Coach would even bother to give this team a thought right now. We'd have to pull someone up from the college ranks if we fired Gailey after this year. JMO

This team does have some decent talent, just missing a few pieces, most notably QB and LB. I think a strong coach like Payton would be able to turn this team around, and possibly have influence over the draft, more so than the people we have here, also he would understand to give the ball to the player averaging over 7ypc more then 6 times a game

the dream of the cowboys trying to get him and him walking away for buffalo is such an amazing idea. completely unrealistic, but still beautiful to dream about.
