Now i thought his injury was total BS. I thought that it was just an excuse for his bad play and it would continue all year. But after seeing how dominant he was against a good team finally, after the injury, im starting to see things from his Pov. Everyone was talking **** about the signing because of his injury history and how can you give him all this money blah blah. Hes part of this hyped up team, and entering week one, his wrist is messed up. If he woulda came out and said, i have a torn ligament in my wrist, everyone woulda flipped. It woulda caused so much negetivity. He played through the pain for a few weeks and it got worse and worse. As people were overly bashing him, he felt he had to defend himself to get people off his back, so he gave small hints of his wrist injury. He has a week on the bye, gets it fixed, then has a sack vs his former team. Now im not 100% on board with the signing, now coming to the reality that hes not Reggie White pt 2, but i do once again believe he is elite, and not a baby. Some times you have to look at it from a persons perspective, not a players.

I thought he looked much better this week, probably his best overall game of the year. He made some nice plays in run defense too. He'll probably never be able to live up to the contract, but he could still be a really good player for us.

I just hope he showed up because he was finally healthy and not just because he was playing the Texans.

solely because he was playing the Texans.

I dont think playing the Texans had anything do do with it. Players rarely make an impact on returns, its always a great story but doesnt happen often. Im sure the texans were as focussed on stopping Mario as he was on getting to the QB

Texans fans are happy to get rid of him. I was at the game yesterday and multiple people said thank you for taking him of their hands.

Any team would say that. Indi fans say the same thing, but only because they made out in the end. If Houston didnt make out in the end they wouldnt be saying ****

The contract will look affordable once the new TV revenue kicks in.

No one had anything good to say about him. I talked to a bunch of their fans yesterday. Not one said they wished he was still there. Usually someone would say one thing nice but no one did. I am not talking about them booing him either.

Texas fans boo'ed him too when he was drafted. THey wanted Reggie Bush and Mario made them look bad . I'm not surprised that just because they are good under Wade, they're saying bad things about him.

Ah. Ever worked with a crew of eleven, with one member getting more money than all the rest of you?

I like the healthy Mario Williams, so he might be alright.

I think it was solely because he was motivated against his old team. But Id love to be wrong. He looked good!

After the storm him and his limp wrist created... He had to produce something... And against the Texans and coming off the bye week too.

not to mention he was playing against a second year 7th round draft pick.

plus he was single teamed the majority of the game.

all he did was buy himself some time and got the heat off of him at least for another week.

And when Urbik, Levitre and Byrd all sign elsewhere this offseason will you still call it affordable?

And they still lost.

Funny, I thought the goal was to make the playoffs before the lease expired.

He was trying to show the Texans what they let go but didn't really make a case for himself.

There is far too much discussion of nutsacks in this thread for a football message board.

LOL... It might fit on a NHL board though... They've had Drunkenmillers and Shoebottoms for decades now. Gotta be room for a Nutsack or Ballswinger in gthe group.

It could be worse, we could have landed Robert "12 receptions on the year" Meachem too.
