“I think there’s a nice complement of quarterbacks, each with special qualities,” Whaley told John Murphy. ” You’ve got E.J. Manuel at Florida State; you’ve got Landry Jones at Oklahoma, Matt Barkley at USC. You’ve got a guy at Miami of Ohio, Zac Dysert, and you’ve got a guy at Southern Utah (Brad Sorensen).”

No mention of Geno Smith and Tyler Bray. No surprise there. He also talks more on the John Murphy show

And none of them are on the level of RG3, Luck, Stafford, Newton, etc.... Hopefully there is a diamond to be polished and we can mine it but I dont have a great feeling about any of this years class.

Here is the whole interview. http://audio.wgr550.com/a/67206592/11-28-bills-assistant-g-m-doug-whaley-weighs-in-on-jaguars-de-jason-babin.htm
Pretty level headed guy. I might add.
I do like his words on reaching for a player in the draft. A girl looking good at 2am but not so at 11am. It reminds me of the incident he had in Pittsburgh where he mistakenly forward a porn movie to all in NFL.
Using his kind of words describing players, Whaley's monday staff meeting may have seen a pretty "Fitz" girl only once or twice this season.
