The last time the Bills tried to fill it’s coaching vacancy it did not go well at all. It was a tough spot to fill because of uncertainty across the board as well as a roster that was not filled with a whole lot of NFL talent. This time around though the Bills’ job is a little more attractive because the talent level on the roster has been increased. However, some of the big red flags also remain, including ownership of the team. While it’s not a definite that the Bills will relieve Chan Gailey of his position, we like to be prepared. Here’s a quick look at some of the positives and negatives to becoming the head coach of the Buffalo Bill.

Re: BBD: Potential Coaching Replacements
After seeing these guys quit yesterday, I can't imagine Nix has a choice. It's one thing for all the players to say they love Gailey, it's another to fight for him. They haven't.I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Definitely being major-leagued. There's no denying it anymore.
Then again, I thought the time for denying that Gailey and Fitz were train wrecks came years ago.Lehner's history. He just doesn't know it yet.

Not sure you can include Fewell in that list, he was merely an interim and honestly never got a fair shot.Where else would you rather be than right here right now?

Re: BBD: Potential Coaching Replacements
We have a pattern with this franchise. We go from Offensive minded guys to defensive back to offensive.
Judging by this trend, we'll likely be looking at another defensive minded guy to come in to be HC.
With your article and guys listed I'd expect Zimmer and Haslett to be the favorites.
