I know he's been offered head coaching jobs in the NFL before, but his only head coaching experience is in the Arena league, other than that I'm blank.

He also coached the Florida Tuskers of the UFL the year after Haslett left for Washington. They lost the UFL championship game in his year as head coach.

Citing people with knowledge of the situation, CBSSports.com's Mike Freeman reports that Jon Gruden will interview with NFL teams about potential coaching openings.

Freeman reports that a handful of teams have "quietly contacted" Gruden's camp in recent weeks, and representatives for the former Raiders and Buccaneers coach have informed teams he would be willing to talk after the regular season.

I heard that too.

Just shows even more that even the media and "legit" sources can be full of crap. That was a Howard Simon tweet and it ultimately came from Mark Kelso directly who said he could confirm that rumor.

I still don't think Gruden is out of the question. Especially since Russ also called him a good friend.
