Bentley Has Big Plans For 2003

When the Browns opted to not re-sign the teams starting linebackers from a year ago, it created quite an opportunity for the young linebackers with the team. The first of the three linebackers drafted in 2002, Kevin Bentley is looking to make the most of his chances.

“It’s a great opportunity,” Bentley said. “I don’t know how else to look at it. I approach every season the same. I want to always be ready to perform.”

Bentley was selected by the Browns in the fourth-round (101st overall) in the 2002 NFL Draft from Northwestern. He was the first of three linebackers the Browns drafted in last year’s draft. Ben Taylor was taken with the team’s second selection in the fourth-round (111th overall) and Andra Davis was taken in the fifth-round (141st overall).
