Turner's a joke. The guy has consistently underachieved in SD with a lot of talent, after horrible stints in Oakland and Washington.

The guy must have lots of photos of NFL owners in compromising positions or mafia backing or something. I don't ever recall a coach that has been so unsuccessful getting so many chances.

I'd love to get Whisenhunt.

The sad part is that decision wouldn't be nearly as bad as our last 3 DC's.

Gailey isn't going to give a press conference to announce his own firing. To me this is an end of year wrap up kind of conference, and it suggests that he hasn't yet received word that he's done.

That is nothing new, that has been scheduled, hopefully we never get to hear it, because he is let go before 3:30.

Could be he's resigning y'know.Unlikely. He's got to know he won't get another HC job in theleague, so why willingly give up the one he has.

Then again, he thinks Fitz is a good QB and thinks Spiller gets winded, so yeah, maybe he's also stupid enough to step down.

He also has at least a year left on his deal. If he is fired, he still collects it. If he quits, the Bills don't have to pay.

He'll have to be fired, he won't walk away from money.

Nix is history. It's a three year gig regardless of what was signed. If these guys aren't both gone by New Year's day, Ralph can look forward to the stands looking just like yesterday come September.

OK, but the point was they aren't going to be resigning. Neither guy is just going to walk away from a contract. They are going to have to be fired, or they forfeit the remaining money in their contracts.

I only offered it up as a possibility. If Gailey had an ounce of integrity, he would resign.

You guys are all jumping to conclusions. This is going to be a pretty ho-hum presser. Gailey is going to go state that he doesn't know what is going on yet and is planning on coaching next year. He will also state that he will be taking some time off to reflect on the season and go on a 6 month world tour with his new cross dressing, gangster rap/country music group "The Renegade Soul Eaters". Thank and he would like to thank the fans of WNY. Nothing too spectacular.

My question: When coaches are let go and are seen as "upgrades"... wouldn't they have stayed in their positions if they were any good?

That being said, I will take any coaches/coordinators over what we have now.

Lovie would look good in red white n' blue... Just sayin'.

Not really. Whisenhunt was dominant when he had a solid QB playing for him, since then he's had a ton of inconsistency at the position. Lovie's Oline was a disaster and Cutler was getting killed every week. That was the bulk of Chicago's struggles.
